2-Ingredient Milk Bread Recipe Is As Easy As It Gets (No Yeast, Butter, Oil, Sugar or Eggs)

It seems like so many have gotten the baking bug since being home so much. We are always on the lookout for simple bread recipes that novice and experienced bakers would enjoy making. This easy two-ingredient milk bread recipe fits the bill.

This easy bread recipe has minimal (really minimal!) ingredients, easy prep and bakes up in no time. Slice it and spread on jam, jelly or butter, use it to make sandwiches or top with sliced cheese.

Cuisine: American

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 35 to 40 minutes (every oven is different)

Total Time: 45 to 50 minutes

Servings: Makes 1 loaf

Ingredients

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Whisk together the flour and milk in a mixing bowl until smooth and lump free. (Do not overmix!) Pour the batter into a 8×4-inch loaf pan that’s been lined with parchment paper
  2. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown on top and it bounces back with touched. You can also insert a toothpick and it should come out clean. Let bread cool before removing it from the pan.

Notes

  • If you use a larger loaf pan, the bread will not rise as much.
  • Whole milk is recommended. Using low-fat milk or nut milks will affect the bread’s texture.
